Mission Control for iPhone and iPad — Privacy Policy

Mission Control for iPhone and iPad · a POOLHOUSE project
Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy describes information handled by the Mission Control iPhone and iPad app. Privacy questions can be sent to apoolhouseonthemoon@gmail.com.

Camera connections and live preview

Mission Control communicates directly with your compatible camera using Bluetooth for setup and a local USB or Wi-Fi network for preview and controls. Camera images, model and serial information, settings and controls are processed on your device to provide monitoring and camera control. The app does not upload this information to POOLHOUSE or an analytics service.

Live-preview video is processed in memory. The app does not record video to your iPhone or iPad; its recording controls operate the camera's own storage. Camera commands and preview use the camera's Bluetooth, HTTP and UDP interfaces. Mission Control does not add encryption to HTTP commands or video packets; wireless security is handled by the camera and operating system.

Wi-Fi setup

During Bluetooth setup, the camera's network name and password are held in memory and cleared when setup closes. The app does not save these credentials in its preferences or files. If you choose Copy password, the password is placed on a device-local clipboard with a one-minute expiry and is not shared through Universal Clipboard. Anything you paste into Settings or another app is handled by that destination.

When you choose to join the camera network in the app, Mission Control passes the network name and password to iOS. iOS asks you to approve joining and manages the saved Wi-Fi configuration. The approved network can remain available when you leave Mission Control. You can manage or forget it in Settings → Wi-Fi.

Information stored on your device

Mission Control saves monitor preferences and your camera's private network address in local app storage. If you import a .cube LUT through Files, the app saves a local copy and remembers its name. It does not upload that file.

Removing or replacing a LUT removes the app's copy, without deleting your original file. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading it can retain that data. System backups may retain app preferences and files according to your device's backup settings. Mission Control does not operate a cloud backup or synchronization service.

Permissions and analytics

Bluetooth access is used for camera discovery and setup. Local Network access is used for preview and camera controls. You can change these permissions in Settings. The app does not request access to your device's camera, microphone, photo library, contacts or location.

The app has no advertising, tracking, analytics, account service or third-party crash-reporting service. It does not send usage or diagnostic reports to POOLHOUSE. Apple may separately process App Store purchases, system diagnostics and backups according to its policies and your settings. Mission Control does not request or store payment-card information.

If you contact support

If you email apoolhouseonthemoon@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments through Gmail. We use the information you choose to send to address your request. Please avoid sending camera passwords or footage you do not want to share.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to provide support, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing the same address. This voluntary correspondence is separate from the app's local camera processing.
